Top 20 Steal Leaders in NBA History
Posted by Vin Getz
With the NBA poised to lockout the players at midnight tonight, threatening to “steal” the season from fans, I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the best NBA “thieves” in history.
The Utah Jazz‘ John Stockton leads the way – by a lot. Stockton is the only NBA player to break the 3,000 mark in steals and he’s more than 700 ahead of second place, held by Michael Jordan himself.
Couple other surprises? How about Scottie Pippen at No. 6 and big-man Hakeem Olajuwon at No. 8? Even Charles Barkley is in on the act.
Jason Kidd should finish second all-time if he plays one more year. He’s just 37 steals behind MJ.
