Major League Baseball’s All-Time Stolen Base Leaders
Posted by Vin Getz
Rickey Henderson, some can argue, is the greatest all-around baseball player ever. He could do everything at the plate…walks, singles, doubles, triples, homers…and then there were the stolen bases. And maybe a good poker hand or two in there.
Henderson holds the modern single season record for stolen bases: 130. You don’t hear that kind of stuff any more.
He’s also, of course, the all-time stolen base leader, with more than 50 percent more thefts than second place – the all-time great himself, Lou Brock.
Here’s the top 20 all-time stolen base leaders in baseball history.
Straight out of baseball-reference.com. A quick hit, because I moved today, and of course I’m not done moving and outta wi-fi. So here I am in McDonald’s (let me tell you they have good, free wi-fi and the coffee’s good too. That ain’t free.) posting this bad boy. Then it’s back to moving.
