NFL: Jerry Rice and the Most Playoff Games Played in History
Posted by Vin Getz
It’s that time of year. Just a couple games left to determine the final playoff teams. So, an appropriately themed post as we head into a packed Saturday slate.
Jerry Rice has played in the most playoff games in NFL history. Adam Vinatieri is the closest active player – he’s five games from tying Rice.
But Vinatieri won’t be adding to his totals this year, as the Indianapolis Colts are far from the postseason at 2-13.
Where’s Tom Brady you ask? He’s not far away at 19 playoff games; he might be able to crack this list before the season’s end. David Akers, Asante Samuel and Peyton Manning also stand at 19 games.
Check out Gary Anderson making the postseason with five different teams. I might have to do a post on that topic.
Have a Great Holiday! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all.
Follow @VinGetzCHART UPDATED: January 20, 2013 (original post above from Dec. 23, 2011). Thanks to Ben. Adam Vinatieri added a game this year. Tom Brady added two. David Akers adds three to make the list. I’ve already included this year’s Super Bowl for him. Note: These numbers include Super Bowl appearances.

Update would be terrific…also, I’d be interested in who has won the most playoff games, QB or otherwise.
Thanks Ben. Updated with credit. Let me check out most playoff wins. I’ll reply back to this thread, see if I can whip that up. That’s a good one.
