Victor Cruz and the Top 25 Most Receiving Yards in a Season

How about the New York Giants‘ Victor Cruz? Last year, his first season, he made his way into three games (with no receptions) before an injury sidelined him for the rest of the year.
This year, his second, he went for an unexpected 1,536 receiving yards – 24th most all time and most ever for a Giant. Quite impressive.
2011 was a good year for receivers. Calvin Johnson (7th) and Wes Welker (19th) both cracked the top 25.
In general, massive receiving yardage is a recent phenomenon. Twenty of the top 25 achieved their mark 1995 or later.
Jerry Rice sits at the top as the only receiver to crack 1,800 yards.
