New England Patriots Win 7th AFC Championship; AFC Titles by Team
The New England Patriots defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game when Ravens’ kicker Billy Cundiff missed the tying field goal with just 11 seconds left.
That punches the Patriots ticket to their seventh Super Bowl. Hard to believe. The Pats were the laughing stock of the league for what seemed like centuries (really, the 70s and 80s).
It’s still the Pittsburgh Steelers, though, who have been crowned AFC champs the most. That would be eight times.
