NHL: The Most Accurate Shooters in Hockey History and Today
Posted by Vin Getz
So, who are the greatest shots in NHL History? Here are the top 25. These skaters have the best shooting percentage of all time, led by Craig Simpson, who played for the Penguins, Oilers and Sabres.
Islander fans desperate for anything positive can take some pride in the fact that two of the franchise’s best players – Mike Bossy and Bryan Trottier – made the list.
There’s Mario Lemieux, too.
But what about Wayne Gretzky? The Great One is 44th all time with a 17.57 shooting percentage. Hey, you can’t win ‘em all.
The highest ranking active skater is the Calgary Flames’ Alex Tanguay. He made the all-time list at No. 21 and leads the second list below: the top 25 most accurate active shooters.
