NCAA: College Basketball’s All-Time Career Leaders – Points, Assists, Steals and More

Lester Hudson Has the Only Quadruple-Double in NCAA Basketball History

Lester Hudson Has the Only Quadruple-Double in NCAA Basketball History

These are the career leaders, in the primary statistical categories, for NCAA Division I college basketball – regular season.

Pete Maravich is the all-time offensive king.  He has the most points in college basketball history, a record that may never be broken (all in three years and with 10 games over 50 points to boot).

But there are a few more-modern players on the list – modern meaning they’re playing in the NBA right now: Tim Duncan (Spurs), J.J. Redick (Magic), Tyler Hansbrough (Pacers), Jarvis Varnado (Heat) – and – check this out – Lester Hudson was just signed by the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 10-day contract.  Hudson is the only player in college basketball history to record a quadruple-double.

Now, an important reminder – a few of these statistics have not been recorded since the beginnings of the sport.  For example, assists, blocked shots, steals and three-pointers weren’t tallied until the mid-1980′s.  Take a look at my source, the NCAA basketball record book, for the facts, and for a lot more, too.

  1. I’m really impressed with your writing skills as neatly as with the format for your blog. Is that this a paid topic or did you modify it your self? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to look a great weblog like this one these days..
