NFL: Playoff Records of Every Football Team
Posted by Vin Getz
The Green Bay Packers have the greatest playoff record of all time, followed closely by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Rather appropriate, considering both teams’ associations with championships. The Packers reside in “Title Town, USA” and won the first two Super Bowls. The Steelers have won the most Super Bowls overall – 6.
As we gear up for the 2012 NFL Playoffs, take a look at all 32 franchises’ playoff records and postseason win-loss percentages, including Super Bowl appearances (also noted).
All franchises include previous related teams. So, for example, the Indianapolis Colts numbers below include the team’s time in Baltimore.
All together, 13 teams have postseason records of .500 or more. I found that to be a high number, since most playoff runs end in a loss. With more layers of playoffs added over the past two decades, though, there is more opportunity to pick up some wins along the way.
