Hey, the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend is here! Awesome. For a refresher and a little prep, check out the full East and West rosters, including reserves. The NBA’s official web coverage is here.

For something extra, though, more angles and the most and best in analysis and  fan and pro writing, check out Bleacher Report through this weekend and through the week leading up to the NBA trading deadline on Feb 21 – and after for analysis.

Anyway, on to today’s sports list, which after all that is of course All-Star Game related.

Here are the top 20 players with the most NBA All-Star Game selections and appearances. These guys were selected so often, that inevitably most missed one or a few.

On top of both lists is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who was selected almost two decades worth of times (19), appearing in all but one (18).

Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett and Shaquille O’Neal have the second most selections at 15.

On the appearances side, three actives – Bryant, Garnett and Tim Duncan – come in second at 14.

If Kobe, 34, doesn’t retire at the end of his current contract (through 2013-14) as he has been suggesting, maybe he’ll have a shot at catching Kareem. I don’t think it’s going to happen.

LeBron James is standing at nine.
