NFL: Every Team’s Best Regular Season Record (16-Game Schedule)

The 2007 New England Patriots Went 16-0 During the Regular Season

The 2007 New England Patriots Went 16-0 During the Regular Season

The Seattle Seahawks are 4-0 for the first time in their history. Their best record was 13-3 in 2005 – a season they made it to the Super Bowl (and lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers).

Are the Seahawks on their way to another Super Bowl appearance? They should be. According to the current odds (and the team’s strong offensive and defensive play), Seattle is now the favorite to come out of the NFC. They’ve supplanted the San Francisco 49ers, who were the preseason favorites.

The Denver Broncos (and a blisteringly hot Peyton Manning) are the overall favorites to not only take the AFC, but the whole enchilada. They, too, are 4-0. The Broncos best record was John Elway‘s final year – 1998. They went 14-2 and won a second Super Bowl in a row.

And don’t look now, the New England Patriots sit atop the AFC East (again) at 4-0. We all know the Pats’ best record ever and what happened…

Another 4-0 team will join the rest Monday night when the 3-0 New Orleans Saints face off against the 3-0 Miami Dolphins.

Today’s list features the best regular season record each team has posted during the 16-game era (1978-present).
