MLB Video: Top 5 Players with the Most Home Runs in Postseason History
It’s that magical month again. October. Playoff baseball.
And just in time, I’ve updated our list of the career postseason offensive records, including most home runs hit in playoff history.
Today, a video post, so you can get a look at history in the making. These are the top 5 (six with ties) players with the most career home runs in the postseason. Surely playing a lot of games in October (and November) helps one along. Four of the six players are also on the all-time most games played list. Not Mickey Mantle, though, who played when the postseason was just the World Series – there were no other rounds in his day.
Nor Albert Pujols, who if he can stay healthy, may one day overtake Manny Ramirez at the top. Pujols has nine years left on his current contract at least to go.Follow @VinGetz
1. Manny Ramirez: 29 Home Runs
2. Bernie Williams: 22 Home Runs
3. Derek Jeter: 20 Home Runs
4. Albert Pujols: 18 Home Runs
4. Reggie Jackson: 18 Home Runs
4. Mickey Mantle: 18 Home Runs
