Tim Kerr Had The Most Power Play Goals In A Season – 34

The Philadelphia FlyersTim Kerr is the NHL‘s single-season record holder for power play goals. He had 34 in the 1985-86 season.

Four skaters have breached the 30 power-play goal ceiling: Kerr, Dave Andreychuk, Joe Nieuwendyk and Mario Lemieux (twice).

Here are the top 20 skaters with the most in a season. These kind of numbers don’t happen so often anymore. Only one skater below – the Atlanta ThrashersIlya Kovalchuk in 2005-06 – made his mark post 1995-96. That’s coming up on 20 years.

What’s this? No Wayne Gretzky? Now that’s a first.
