Butler Was The Last School To Make Back-To-Back NCAA Basketball Championship Games, But Florida Was The Last To Win Back-To-Back

The very first post at Sports List of the Day, almost three years ago, checked out the 14 schools with multiple NCAA Championships.

Seven of those schools won titles in back-to-back seasons (or in the case of UCLA, seven seasons in a row).

But what about Butler? Huh?

Butler, Cinderella team, made the Finals two times in a row out of nowhere (well, technically not the second time) in 2010 and 2011 (and baaarely lost that first one to Duke, as you probably remember). Ok, the Bulldogs lost both Championship Games…but still. They made the Final Game two years in a row.

There’s something to be said for that. No?

Here’s everybody with back-to-back NCAA Championship Game appearances, win or lose.
