Magic Johnson Won His First NBA Title And First NBA Finals MVP His Rookie Season

Kawhi Leonard has pulled down the 2014 NBA Finals MVP. At 22, he “ties” teammate Tim Duncan and Magic Johnson as the second-youngest to win the prestigious award (additionally ranked by months, below).

Not only that, Leonard is the youngest to win it since teammate Tony Parker won it in 2007 at the age of 24.

In turn, Parker was the youngest to win it since Dwyane Wade (as a member of the Miami Heat, of course) the year before.

What does all that mean?

It means four of the 10 youngest NBA Finals MVPs ever were just playing in the 2014 Finals. Wild.

But who was the youngest Finals MVP of all time? Trick question.

Magic Johnson, again. He won it at age 22 and 20, too (his rookie year).
