FIFA World Cup Finals: All-Time Standings and Records
Sure, Brazil has the most World Cup wins of all time, with five, and Italy has four of their own. They are the best countries in World Cup play to be sure. But both have lost a couple of times in the Finals, and in this look – the all-time World Cup Finals standings – they come in fourth and fifth.
And, hey, even though four countries – the Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Sweden – have done nothing but lose the big game, at least they made the Finals, which is more than can be said for most of the countries in the world.
The Netherlands have lost three. Ouch, that’s got to hurt. Still, they’re one of only 12 countries to make it to the Finals. That counts for more than something.Follow @VinGetz
