MLB: Most RBI in a Baseball Game (2000 – Present)

Alex Rodriguez And Garret Anderson Are The Only Players With 10 RBI In A Game Since 2000

Yasiel Puig may have knocked in five runs today, but that’s nothing (what?).

Fellow Los Angeles Dodger, Yasmani Grandal, collected eight RBI back in May. That’s the most in a single game this season.

But that’s nothing, either (whaaaat?).

Since 2000, nine players have had at least nine RBI in one game. They (and everybody with eight, too) are listed below in chronological order.

The tops? One of those crazy baseball things. New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez, had 10 against the Los Angeles Angels in 2005. Two years later Los Angeles Angel, Garret Anderson, had 10 against the New York Yankees.

Guess what? That’s nothing.

Four players in history have had more. The all-time record? Find that answer, and a few others, tomorrow.

One more something. Everybody below was on the winning team, except Jason Bay. Bay (a rookie, then) had eight RBI for the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 10-9 loss to the Chicago Cubs back in 2003.

But Bay is on the list two times and was on a Pirate winner, too. He and Nelson Cruz are the only two-timers.
